LESSON 5 – REPORT RECOMMENDATIONS

Title: Report Recommendations
Lesson Description: Reporting recommendations for a study is the final step in the process. The students will learn how to articulate their study results in a written and oral report. Reporting includes Background, Aim, Scope, Methodology, Analysis, Conclusions, and Recommendations.
Stage 1: Desired Outcome
Learning Objective
The student will report the validation study results by articulating the results and recommendations.
Student Goals
  1. The student will be able to write a validation study report to articulate the recommendation.
  2. The student will be able to present orally the recommendations.

Stage 3: Teaching and Learning Instructions
Instructor Directions
The instructor should ensure:

  1. All of the links provided in the lesson are still active.
  2. That the students post their work on individual blogs.
  3. Feedback is provided to all students.
Learner Directions
The learner is required to complete the following:

  1. You need to read through the material below and you should read CFITES Volume 8 – Validation of Instructional Programs (p. 23-26).
  2. After you have completed the readings, you will post a blog with your completed assignments (written report and oral presentation).
Assessment (Final Unit Assessment)
Summative: Report Recommendations

Part 1 – Written Validation Report – The aim of the report is to express the recommendation of the validation study. The report should include the following sections: Background, Aim, Scope Methodology, Analysis, Conclusions, and Recommendations.

Part 2 – Oral Validation Presentation –The aim of the oral presentation is to present the results of the validation to an audience. The presentation should include: Background, Aim, Scope, Analysis, Conclusions, and Recommendations. The presentation should be recorded and uploaded to a video sharing site and a link should be added to the student blogs.
